SZR Automation

RZR®-SZZ automation is a microprocessor device for automatic switching on of the reserve voltage (SZR) and automatic return to basic supply (APZ) for the needs of a 0.4 kV switchboard.

Application

Application RZR®-SZZ device ensures continuity of power supply in networks for the buildings of public usage, apartment houses and industry premises. The device is manufactured in versions for controlling two switches contactors *), 1 section and 2 sources of power. The device realizes the following connections:

  • SZR – after the loss of voltage,
  • APZ – after return of voltage,
  • AZZ – automatic turning on of power supply after turning the device on.

Characteristics

  • Manufactured using a modern RISC microprocessor
  • Small dimensions.                                                         
  • Comfortable and simple operation.                                 
  • Low power consumption.                                               
  • Resistance to interferences in input/output circuits.
  • Equipped with an extra contact signalling of the position of the switches. 
  • Possibility of:  

    • setting delayed turning on and off of the switches,
    • direct control of the commuting elements (switches,  contactors),                                                                    
    • monitoring the switchboard condition (switches and voltages) on an LCD display,
    • external locking of the device using an external contactor and a key lock, changing the range od on/off delay time by the manufacturer.

Operation

RZR®-SZZ device controls the presence of two voltages and the position of 2 switches. Depending on the position of switches and the presence of voltages, the device carries out the switching procedure according to the switching diagram presented below:

Construction

The device is placed in a plastic housing suitable for DIN rail assembly. On the front plate of the device there are:

  • lock switch for locking the device,
  •  signalling of the presence of voltage powering the device,
  • lock signalling,
  • a knob for setting the delay of on/off switches.  

 In the upper and lower parts of the housing there are connectors for coupling the device with the controlled system. The following main elements of the device are located inside the housing:

  • power supply,
  • output relay,
  • separator circuits,
  •  LCD panel,
  • front plate block(keyboard and light signals)
  • microprocessor steering and measurement circuit with operation delay controller.
