RZR®-MT
Automatic machine RZR®-MT is a microprocessor unit for automatic reserve activation (ARA), scheduled switching of supplies (SSS) and automatic return to basic power supply (ARB) for own needs of switching stations 6 kV and 0.4 kV.
Application
Automatic machine RZR®-MT realizes the following tasks:
• ARA and SSS by means of simultaneous impulsing for switching off a basic power supply and switching on a reserve supply with check for synchronism – so called synchronic switching,
• ARA fast - by means of consecutive impulsing for switching off a basic power supply and switching on a reserve supply with simultaneous check of differential voltage,
• ARA and SSS slow - by means of impulsing as above with check for residual voltage,
• ARA and SSS fast – by means of parallel oparation (non-stop),
• ARB by means of simultaneous impulsing for switching off a reserve supply and switching on a basic power supply with check for synchronism – so called synchronic switching,
• ARB slow – by means of impulsing as above with check for residual voltage,
• ARB fast – by means of parallel operation (non-stop). Automatic machine RZR-MT is adopted to work with systems with open or hidden reserves.
Characteristic features
• Production based on the newest Twido driver, produced by Schneider company
• Resistance to interferences in output and input circuits
• Direct control through switches
• Unique system of synchronism check
• Option to test the machine and switches without using alternating measurement voltages
• Possibility to work in networks using Modbus protocoll
• Options:
- setting of parameters,
- configuration changing,
- unit control,
- unit status monitoring,
- browsing the alarm list from an integrated terminal.
Operation
In the mode of automatic reserve activation (ARA) the machine operates in case of:
• AC dump on switching station bus bars when a basic supply switch is on – ARA slow,
• switching off a basic voltage switch – ARA fast,
• signal from return power flow protection, the unit performes a synchronic switch – ARA synchronic.
During an automatic return to basic power supply (ARB) the unit works when the rail voltage is a reserve voltage and a basic voltage appears.
This switching is configurable and can be set aside..In the cycle of scheduled switching of supplies (SSS) after having received a signal from operating personnel the direction of switching is chosen automatically. In case of synchronic SSS, a simultaneous impulsing for short circuit takes place and respective switches with synchronism check are turned on.
In case when SSS is not activated effectively, for instance due to a switch failure, the switch which was previously turned off is turned on again.
SSS slow takes place with a check of residual voltage on switching station rails. Synchronic cycles can be substituted, if necessary, by a non-stop switching (option).
Structure
The automatic unit was made as a modular system with use of verified and reliable, freely programmable Twido type drivers, produced by Schneider company. The unit has an LCD screen for operator which shows all messages about the realized switchings of power supplies, and notifies about the number of voltages in the switching station, current unit configuration as well as about the preset values of voltages and time. All components of the unit are made constructed as modules mounted on a DIN rail. This solution allows for a free configuration of elements, according to user’s needs. Such construction allows also an easy placement of the unit in different housings. Thanks to the modular structure the unit can be installed:
• in electric control boxes,
• on DIN rails,
• in casings for electronic devices, such as RITTAL. The modules which are parts of the unit are activated outside the unit, what allows for their easy assembly and maintenance.
