Application
Intermediary current transformers IZPO are designed to work with the main transformers. They are used for a direct supply of devices the rated current of which is different from the main transformer current.
They can be used as:
• measuring units, used for the protections of high quality measuring devices, over-current thermal relays and other devices with low resistance to overcurrents.
• protecting units, used in circuits protecting relays for current transforming, according to different needs, as well as in differential protections of rails and transformers in systems, instead of special current autotransformers.
Structure
Transformers IZPO are provided with wound core RZC. The core dimensions depend on the transformer parameters. The core windings are impregnated with polyester resins which act as the main insulation. Intermediary current transformers have 2 terminals, on a primary and secondary winding each, and when necessary their number can be increased (e.g. summing or switchable transformers). The devices fully comply with the Technical Demands (WT/X.75)
